Responder Care™ was born from a simple question: what if we could help a sick First Responder avoid even one unnecessary Emergency Room visit? In honor of Alexandria Fire Department Deputy Chief Brian R. Hricik — who inspired this program before losing his battle with cancer in 2023 — we’ve built a private EMS infrastructure where fellow Responders care for their own. No cost. No barriers. Just help when it’s needed most.

Responder Care™ delivers free EMS, Mobile Integrated Healthcare, and Community Paramedicine to first responders and their families — funded entirely by private donors. Every dollar goes directly to the people who protect us. Fiscal sponsorship by Global Impact, a 501(c)(3).
